Notes: Above Hucken Tor and a little to the south of Little King’s Tor is this boundary stone, described by Dave Brewer (2002) in his Boundary Markers On and Around Dartmoor (1st edition) on Page 87. It is conjectured that CW stands for Criptor Waste. Dave Brewer wasn’t convinced of this.

Paul Rendell is convinced that it actually stands for ‘clay works’. He wrote an article in Dartmoor Magazine, Issue 20, Autumn 1990, pp.26-28 about the clay works. (MP comment, September 2022)

Reference: Steve Grigg, who kindly supplied both the NGR and details for this item on the Facebook Group ‘Dartmoor 365 Trig Points & Bench Marks’ (2020). It should be noted also that Side by Side shows this feature.
