Notes: Striking ruins beside the repurposed barn at Emsworthy. Trees encircle these beautiful ruins that themselves are enclosed by granite walls. Eric Hemery (1983) explains that in 1397 the farm was ‘Aylemesworthy’ and latterly ‘Omsworthye’, in 1560.
