This famous logan stone is unfortunately no longer in place. Its remains are to be found as broken slabs and smaller pieces just below the balancing rock in the picture below. Apparently it was destroyed (blown up!) in 1975 (Starkey). The image you see above is a Photoshopped ‘what if’ using a photo taken in February 2016 together with an image scanned (without permission!) from the front cover of ‘A Pictorial Guide to Eastern Dartmoor by Arthur L. Camp, A Westway Publication’ (it was the only colour image I could find!)
