This is also known as ‘Piggie Rock’, a name introduced by Eric Hemery in ‘High Dartmoor‘, which is apparently the name used throughout the Barramoor Valley. Atop the Rock is a now defunct logan stone (rocking stone) that, it is said, was used to cure children of the dreaded whooping cough.
