Definition: A ‘Wide’ Foot Bridge on Dartefacts refers to a water-course crossing point that consists of two or more parallel 'imposts' (or perhaps just one wide slab). This significant type of ‘foot’ bridge could take a pack horse or horse and cart, or perhaps a modern vehicle depending on width. Very useful for farmers and their Quad Bikes or military/ prison vehicles etc.
