Despite this being the only obvious rock in the vicinity, spotting this benchmark took a good 5-10 minutes because it is so faint. It looks far better in the photos in part thanks to the light and me giving it a brief clean over. I was dubious at first but it faces NW as indicated on old maps as well as being near the top of the boulder, which was a popular choice for OS surveyors.
