Note: A very eroded BM with a very clear divot was found a few metres NW from the sidebyside NGR location. It is up on the rocks on a level flat summit rock. It faces West South West and not South East as indicated on sidebyside online maps. I suspect it is very close to the now removed trig pillar, but can’t confirm as didn’t have my GPS with me. Good light and crisp winter shadows really helped to spot this one, I saw the divot before the darts as it is quite large for a divot (RJN).

Unless a BM is found at the sidebyside NGR I will add my photo of the BM found here. This might be an unrecorded BM or possibly a mapping BM facing error. Which is unusual for Dartmoor BMs but I guess not impossible (RJN).
