Notes: Trenchford Reservoir was the last of the three reservoirs to be built to supply the Torbay area with clean drinking water. First was Tottiford in 1868, then Kennick in 1888, followed by Trenchford in 1907. This latter reservoir submerged part of Trenchford Stream and the feeder from Tottiford and, since then, people refer to the stream leaving Trenchford as the Beadon Brook.
