Strangely, this inscribed Bedford Marker is not near any standing post, and leaves No.11, Post solitary. When consulting Dave Brewer’s (2002) book, Dartmoor Boundary Markers, it is evident from his map that this inscribed marker is roughly equidistant from Posts 11 and 10. I estimated that it would be roughly above the ‘k’ in ‘Rock Basin’ on the OS Map and set out, with Paul Rendell, to find it. Paul located it close to my NGR and it sits on a large slab that is visible from No.10, Post. The winter sun helped to illuminate it.
