The remains of Holwell Cottage are fairly obvious. If you are following the waymarked (and in places quite wet) route from the south, via boardwalks, you will bear right in the field (after Cold Moor Tor and a gate) and descend down to a wider gate beside the Becka Brook. Through here there is a picnic table and, to the left, the ruinous house. Pass through a smaller gate and, with care, inspect the ruin. This was a small dwelling, perhaps only large enough for two people. Not much is known to us about the history of the building, so if you know please contact us.
