A nineteenth-century boundstone lettered ‘L’ for Lydford. (information supplied by Peter Brooks).
According to Nigel Machin in Dartmoor Information Exchange (Facebook); “The Lydford boundary never made it this far west and the stone apparently represents wishful thinking by the Duchy of where they had aspirations of moving it.”
