This boundary stone sits on the boundary of the parishes of Buckland in the Moor and Ashburton.
Dave Brewer, in Dartmoor Boundary Markers, says that this boundstone is inscribed ‘B/ MAY. 4th 1837/A’ on three appropriate sides and that it is “a Bastard stone of rectangular shape with cut-away corners at the top.” The inscription looks like ‘MAR’, but it should be ‘MAY’.
