This apparent Bound Stone is opposite the house known as Older Town (one of the oldest houses in the area). It is not in its original place. The owner of Lower Town informs me that it was found buried about 20 feet from its current position. There is nothing inscribed on the front and the owner says that the back is rough and unfinished. It is hard to know if it was a stone that was never finished or just an uninscribed stone – perhaps one of the Ilsington Water Works stones. (PHB 2020)
