Heritage Gateway refers to this as a ‘Stable Block’ but the structure is not deep enough to be a stable and as it was built in 1942 it is unlikely the troops had horses. Other authors refer to it as a ‘Troop Shelter’ which seems much more likely. There is a large bush/tree growing up through the office area at the E end!
