A unique section of the granite tramway that ran from the quarries around Haytor down to the Stover Canal. The granite was loaded onto barges and transported down the canal and along the Teign Estuary. It is remarkable how this 200-year-old stretch of tramway, as tiny as it is, manages to survive. It has witnessed the Newton Abbot to Moretonhampstead Railway come and go, and the construction of the Bovey Tracey bypass. The roundabout here, where Pottery Road meets the A382, is known locally as Glen Lyn.
