Marked on OS Maps as a ‘Standing Stone’, though is considered to be a dolmen. Hemery (1983) writes: “Nearest to Thornworthy Corner is the relic known as ‘the Three Boys’, which Worth identified as a dolmen: this picture shows the remaining ‘Boy’, and that in a supine position, so that OS should amend their marking ‘Standing Stone’.” Worth (1953) writes: “Due south of the Longstone, at a distance of 555 ft, is an isolated stone, erect but leaning, of which 4 ft 6 in. in length is above the ground. This is the last of three stones, formerly known as ‘Three Boys’, its companions having gone to form gateposts to a neighbouring enclosure.“
