Notes: Wow! This is the first time I have come across a trig point no longer marked on OS maps that still exists in situ; sure, there’s the trig point on Cranbrook Down but that one is a different situation as it was moved. This one, however, at a height of 558ft was noticed by Peter Freeman with the plate missing. The trig is situated just away from the crossroads in a hedge and while it’s just outside of Dartmoor National Park is well worth adding to Dartefacts. (Info supplied by Max Piper.)
