This is a fine logan stone at the little outlying outcrop of Steng-a-Tor, sometimes called Little Steng-a-Tor by Paul Rendell.
Reference: Steve Grigg kindly brought this boundary rock to our attention. It is a flat slab of granite bearing the letters OP B for Okehampton Parish Bounds.
Reference: Noted by Paul Rendell.
Nigel Machin has supplied (via Dartmoor 365 on Facebook) the NGR. He also mentions that there is further aluminium wreckage 2-3 metres away.
Notes: Also located here is the commemorative plaque with the names of the 10 who died as well as half of one of the four 14-cylinder Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp radial engines used by the Liberator.
Further Notes: Steve Granger has kindly supplied the Featured Image for this item.
I couldn’t get it to move.
