There are two tinners’ mills here either side of Newleycombe Lake. This NGR is for the southern, which also contains a small stone trough.

Kingsett Farm Recumbent Stone with Slots

Shown to Max Piper by Paul Rendell. This is a long, narrow granite stone laying flat on the ground with evenly spaced slots like a slotted gatepost. It was used to hold timber posts that once supported the weight of the roof of this part of the farm.
