Black Hill Pool, North Dartmoor

There are a lot of boggy patches on Black Hill, but this one stood out to me because it is covered in a layer of vibrant green. DO NOT step into it!

Black Hill Pile of Stones, North Dartmoor

Notes: Marks the summit of the hill, at 584m above sea level. Views are tremendous in all directions but particularly southward. I’m unwilling to call it a cairn as I don’t believe it is of prehistoric origin, and is most likely here to guide walkers to the summit.
