Holne Moor Stone Row

This triple stone row is unfortunately not much to look at, with many of the stones buried underground or having been robbed. There is, however, a superb recumbent menhir at the western terminus of the row, which if stood upright would be commanding indeed, especially as it would be seen from Horn’s Cross on Cumston Tor Hill to the west. Perhaps this feature was important on the monastic route from Buckfast Abbey to Tavistock?

The rows run parallel to Venford Reave.
