Tunnaford Cross Parking Area

A good spot for parking a few cars considerately. Please be aware that vehicles may use the southern part of this gravel area for turning an extremely sharp bend at the junction. There is also quite a drop down into the parking area from the lane, so if you’ve got a low car, try to approach at the southern end, and leave this way also to avoid getting grounded!

Other than that (!), it’s a useful spot within proximity to Tunnaford Rocks and Meldon Hill.

Collihole Farm

As seen on the Dartmoor HER; “Historic farmstead, dating to at least the early 14th century, possibly before. Known in the past as ‘Collyhole’, ‘Colehall’ and ‘Collacott’. Mid-19th century Tithe map depicts the farm with most of the same buildings that can be seen in modern times.”
