Reference: Above the track to Sharrah Pool (which rapidly deteriorates from hereon) is a large but very overgrown buttress of rock noted on Tors of Dartmoor. Eric Hemery first describes it but gives no name for the feature.

Reference: This cliff-like tor is situated in a beautiful spot, right down in the bottom of the wood close to a streamlet that enters the River Dart. It is noted on Tors of Dartmoor.
