Wind Tor M R Stone

Reference: Dave Brewer, p.276: “The reservoir is still identifiable, and on the east side of the Wind Tor there is a rock bearing the letters ‘M’ and ‘R’ side by side which may possibly refer to these bounds.“

Notes: Please note that these prehistoric antiquities lie on private land and that permission to visit needs to be sought. The area is due to be surveyed by Dartmoor National Park archaeologists and is most certainly an extension of the extensive reave system on the slopes of Wind Tor.
