Torcroft Rock

A totally made-up name for this conspicuous nameless rock outcrop.

The Ruggle Stone Logan Stone

The name ‘Ruggle Stone’ actually refers to the logan stone perched atop the bedrock. This, being a rocking stone, was recorded by William Crossing as “22 feet in length and 16 feet wide. Close to it is another “logging” stone, but one of a different character. It resembles a large slab, and is not more than half the length of the other. The weight of the larger rock has been computed to be about 115 tons.

‘Filter’ for the Stream

Reference: Steve Grigg. This item seems to be an iron wheel in a small stream that looks as though its sole purpose is to catch debris flowing downstream almost like a sluice.
