Manaton/ Lustleigh/ Bovey Tracey – BP Edge of Yarner Wood

This is most unusual as this marker does not use a stone.

Dave Brewer (Boundary Markers, 2000) says: “In addition, in May 1980 Lustleigh also set up, most unusually, a wooden boundary post at the point where the three parishes of Lustleigh, Manaton and Bovey Tracey meet on the western edge of Yarner Woods (SX 770 789) which has the relevant letters cut upon it together with a small plaque reading ‘Lustleigh/Beating of the Bounds/May 1980’.” The plaque was not noticed in 2022.
