2 (0%) of Registered Dartefacters have visited this item. They are: Dartmoor Paul, Bridgemarker Tim

Acknowledgement: Mark Fenlon notified us of this missing boundary stone, which resides on the notoriously steep and narrow Batteridge Hill, between Harford Bridge and Moorshop. Both Tim Jenkinson and Alan Rosevear have also recorded the stone.

It seems odd that the ‘B’ inscribed should stand for Brentor, as that parish is nowhere near here. In fact, the stone does not sit on the modern boundary of any parish. Did Brentor ever make it this far south? ‘B’ for Boundary perhaps as suggested by Tim in 2007?

Inscribed P | B | T (Peter Tavy / Brentor / Tavistock).
