Bridge Toll-house, Sticklepath

This is described by Jenkinson and Taylor; “This two storey building at the western end of Sticklepath Bridge is identified as a possible toll-house in the DNPA’s 2004 Conservation Area Appraisal of the village of Sticklepath.

Now known as ‘Watersmeet’, it possesses some of the right characteristics such as a distinctive angled front looking into the road, but it is not typical at the side where it appears to have been extended.

Unfortunately, it is an unconfirmed toll-house, but it is convincing, especially as it is on the old A30.
