Likely named after the flora, this stupendous tor is one of the finest to grace the perimeter of the South Moor. It is draped in a multitude of greens and browns, while the huge rocks tumble down the hillside through woodland. The central outcrop is the one that, to many, resembles a grumpy old man with a top cap! A smaller outcrop lies some distance above this, uncomfortably close to the china clay works.
