Steve writes: “This stone is recorded in the Dave Brewer report on T/A guide stones from 1991. He records there being a “small piece of rectangular section” on the northern side of the wall at Warrens Cross, having the incised letters ‘TA’ on the exposed face – thought of as being part of an old guide stone. Certainly the old packhorse track passed close to this point at Pixie’s Cross. The Dave Brewer report did not have a photograph of stone, so finding it was quite hard. NOTE: I have reburied the inscription as I found it!“
