Probably related to the former quarrying activity here. Perfect for making sett makers’ bankers?

Leather Tor Spring
Riddipit Site of Old Clapper
The site of an old clapper bridge below Riddipit Farm over the River Meavy. Very little trace left. Also presumably set beside Riddipit Steps (stepping stones) which may have been washed away in a flood. Superseded by Leather Tor Bridge.

Vinneylake Farm Water Channel
Notes: Pointed out to Max Piper by Paul Rendell in December 2022, this is the remains of an artificial water channel that once brought water down to Vinneylake Farm. If you follow the course, you soon hit a rock which has clearly been tampered with by cutting into the surface to allow water to flow directly off the top of it (see photo), perhaps into a bucket?
Nosworthy 1841 Inscribed Boulder
Hmm… and this means?
