Note: A tiny stone row part involved with a cairn. No wonder I never noticed it before! The row is strangely aligned SW to NE which is in stark contrast to Merrivale A and B Stone Rows which run roughly W to E.

Merrivale A Stone Row

Another very vague row. Not entirely certain that what I selected is actually the row.. although it was a ‘line’ of rocks. Looked online and there appears to be an image (below) that shows a few double stones.. not certain that’s where I was! The photo really doesn’t show the few rocks I found either! Another visit I think.. (RJN)

Sharpitor N.W. 2 Stone Row

Very difficult to locate. A number of minor exposed granite rocks scattered around. Did finally settle on what looked like a vague line/row of rocks that was close to the original coordinates (PDW website had original coordinates as SX 5577 7064). Updated coordinates and took a photo – although my selected ‘row’ not at all clear in photo! On the OS map the row is southwest-northeast running (a comment on Dave Parks’ site agrees with this, Butler?) Whereas I took a vague line of rocks running more north-south. Definitely need to revisit again. (RJN)
