Notes: The Gregory Arms, now a private residence, was up until the early 20th Century a public house in the hamlet of Doccombe, East Dartmoor, situated beside ‘Carter’s Road’ (the modern B3212 Turnpike). The inn was popular with the quarrymen of Blackingstone (and, presumably, Westcott too).
