The remains of these cottages were cleared of some vegetation c.2023 and they can be viewed from the adjacent public footpath. Depicted on historic maps, the local pronunciation was ‘Ludense’ or ‘Lewdons’ and the cottages show evidence of modern brickwork. Wray Cleave Stream rises close by and was likely the local water supply used.
