Notes and Reference: An interesting one this. Situated close to the road, Max Piper spotted it whilst out walking and wondered if it could be a hut circle. Nothing is on Ordnance Survey Maps so that meant for a post to the ever-reliable Dartmoor Information Exchange FB group. Nigel Machin found a page by Heritage Gateway that suggests it may be related to a quarry, but Robin Moon spotted that it is shown as a hut circle (sometimes round house) by Harvey’s Map. Dave Parks also believes it is a round house, and has documented it on his Prehistoric Dartmoor Walks website.
