Notes: This fine ruin has been given the name of ‘Old Farm’: “Within a few yards of the lower mouth of the leat tunnel are the walls of a small house. The late Mrs Phillips of Nuns Cross Farm always referred to this as ‘Old Farm’. Until a few years ago there was still to be seen a crock (stewpot) in the kitchen, and a fine fireplace. A few beech trees provided a windbreak.“
