The views from Eylesbarrow spread towards other hilltops and tors on the south-western side of Dartmoor. The once very productive Eylesbarrow Tin Mine lies on the south-western shoulder of the hill, while the summit cairns are a boundary point on the Perambulation of 1240, denoted by a (replacement) cobra head marker.
