The Yealm is one of South Dartmoor’s most splendid rivers, for although it has a much shorter course than the Plym, Erme and Avon boasts the stunning Dendles Wood and Yealm Steps. Tin workings abound and this is a most picturesque corner of the moor that, due to its lack of nearby car parks, offers complete solitude.
