Notes: The legendary Pixies Cave of Sheeps Tor is much harder to reach than one might expect, surrounded on all sides by granite clitter. In fact, the area is so choked with granite that from time to time one rock might dislodge – it’s more of a ‘boulder choke’ than a proper cave. In the past, this has made the cave smaller and more restricted inside. It is entirely up to you if you choose to enter the cave legs first or head first – either way is difficult as you have to manoeuvre some 90 degrees once within. In summer bracken will be concealing the location.
