These two pale granite blocks seem to be here acting like a leat sluice gate, allowing for excess water to divert downhill or perhaps to divert all water away from the farmstead(s) that the leat is usually providing water to? There is an obvious ‘bend’ in the leat on Side by Side. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
