When this milestone was visited in December 2022 it was completely overgrown. It was only through the help of Milestone Society members Tim Jenkinson and Max Piper that it was cleared.

The stone marks where the Ashburton Turnpike Trust ended and Plymouth East began, or the other way around. The inscription is severely weathered, including ‘Brent’ which is written across the top arc.
