This is a wonderful ruined farmstead; “Also known as Caroline Farm and Statts Farm. Remains of a small dwelling house and enclosures associated with the nearby Wheal Caroline Mine. It was adapted for use as a farm when the mine first closed in the 1830s and is recorded in 1839 as ‘Cot House and Potato Garden’. It reverted to farming again when the mine finally closed in the later 19th century.
