This hut may also be known as the Steeperton Cafe, where walkers after enduring the heart-racing ascent are rewarded with ice creams supplied by the famous chain Willy’s. Sadly, it is often closed either due to live firing (although the army do like it), bad weather or the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but things are looking bright for the little business. Show some support but don’t blame Dartefacts if it’s closed upon arrival because… well… it doesn’t function as a cafe at all! Ha!
