I had read somewhere that there was a possible stone trough in this area. I forget now where I read about this but after quite a fruitless search this was the only item I could find that looked even remotely ‘trough-like’? It appears to be a natural ‘rectangular’ block of granite (from what is currently visible). I could not discern any obvious cut/working marks that could indicate this was a granite trough in the making that was abandoned. Of course this might not be the item I had read about.
