Described as a “Granite and iron drinking fountain, c1901, moved here from original position. 2 stage octagonal base, with column in centre, surmounted by a large standard. Lower stage rough-faced with trough for dogs. Upper stage smooth faced, with trough for overflow from former water outlet on e side. On w side is incised inscription in memory of Robert Edward Bovey.” It is on the east side of North Street.
