Acknowledgement: Nigel Machin has supplied (via Dartmoor 365 on Facebook) the NGR. He also mentions that there is further aluminium wreckage 2-3 metres away.
Notes: Also once located here was the commemorative plaque with the names of the 10 who died as well as half of one of the four 14-cylinder Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp radial engines used by the Liberator. Bob Fitzpatrick records that the plaque is no longer in situ as of July 2022; a new memorial stone on the hillside above appears to be the more permanent feature. This has a separate listing on Dartefacts.
