Widgery Cross on Brai Tor was erected in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. Unlike other crosses on the moor, Widgery is comprised of several individual blocks of granite instead of a single shaft. It stands at roughly 460m above sea level and is a distinctive landmark on West Dartmoor.
