Described by Heritage Gateway; “Overgrown earthworks in Houndtor Wood, Manaton. Single ditch and bank covering a portion of the promontory with a causewayed enclosure. To the north-west and south-east the defences end in natural ground contour. Possibly Iron Age in date, although could be later.”

The hill here, above Houndtor Ridge, is known locally as Riddy Hill. Easily accessed by a public footpath, the banks here are worth a quick look, but sadly the once fine views have been obscured by foliage and trees.
