This Dartefact is visited by the following walks:

Nine maidens danced on a Sunday against church law. For their sin, they were turned to stone, forming the Nine Maidens cairn circle. CLICK HERE for more Paranormal Dartmoor

Notes: The Nine Maidens are not actually considered to form a stone circle but rather a cairn circle. Labelled on the OS Map as the ‘Nine Stones’ and also known as the ‘Seventeen Brothers’ as William Crossing (1909) records, the cairn is on a ley line. It is a glorious spot to visit and is quite accessible from Belstone by walking along the track. Spend some time at the cairn to enjoy the wide-ranging views.
