Although this benchmark was not located on this occasion, that is not to say that it doesn’t exist as it may turn up another time! There is no granite to be found at this site, so the benchmark is probably buried under the turf.

Update Thursday 11th November 2021.

On this date I found a rock barely protruding from the turf at the exact NGR, but despite pulling back some grass, no benchmark was found. I reckon it could be located underground, but I’m not suggesting anyone should check.
